Comfortable sleeping on the snow
AMG guides recommend a 2 sleeping pad solution for snow camping. One of the pads being a full-length foam pad (Ridgerest or similar) and the other is a ¾ length inflatable pad. This system makes for comfortable and warm sleeping while on the snow, and the foam pad can useful for other things during the day. Non-absorbent foam pads make great seats in the snow kitchen or as splints during a first aid situation.
