I bought this pack last year and it has proved to be a big upgrade from a traditional internal frame back, for the 1-4 day hikes I do in the Sierras. having the load up higher makes for a much more comfortable day's hiking. The higher center of gravity does make it less stable if you're scrambling over boulders, but you can cinch the straps tight temporarily over very rough terrain. Having a lot of separate pockets makes it easy to find things, and the main compartment is big enough for a bear canister. Only drawback is that everyone asks me whether I'm a scout master ;-)

Good pack but mine I reviewed was defective and they sent me a new one so I guess that works i will update review when I get new one

Very solid design... I look forward to using this pack during the fall for a few hikes I have planned. LOTS of bag space and room on the frame for more gear. I am a comfort-driven backpacker, so this is an ideal pack. If I want to go lightweight, the bag itself is removable, so I can just stuff sack all of my gear and attach it to the naked frame. An excellent product!
