Let's face it-those folding sling-type chairs are just not comfortable-this captains chair is. The generous size and one-piece seat/seatback make it not only a pleasure to sit in but much easier to get in and out of. It is also much sturdier than similar models from LL Bean and REI (which are a few bucks cheaper.) If there is a down side it is the weight-at nearly 14 lbs this is one of the heaviest of camp chairs, making it more of a chore to carry it any appreciable distance.

This chair is amazing! I have used it for so many activities. I am a mom and go to all of my kids soccer and baseball games and would not know what to do without this chair. It folds in such an easy way that it is no-hassle and fits perfectly in my car even with a car-load of kids. My husband has also taken it on camping trips and then refused to give it back so I had to buy him his own. He loves the folding side table and extra storage on the side. All around, this chair is a must have for year-round activities.
