My review I posted on Amazon: I'm borderline 3 stars on this bag, but I gave it 4 because technically, I "like it" which is what 4 stars on Amazon qualifies for. Really it's 3.5 stars. Let me tell you what I like about this bag, and then why I wanted to give it 3 stars. First we purchased this so our almost 2 year old could go camping with us this spring. I was initially worried about the mummy bag aspect with it being around her head, but I specifically chose this bag over the rectangular style bags because this is truly the only style that will keep you warm. When the bag arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find not one, but two zippers on top of the bag. They are more on top than on the sides, and this allows you to zip the whole front of the bag down all the way to the foot compartment. This is a great feature, allowing the top of the bag to act more like a blanket. I see this as allowing the bag to be more versatile in the warmer summer months, plus it alleviates the concerns I had with an almost 2 year old that likes to turn and sleep on her side. I think this feature will allow her to move around a bit more and I won't be as worried about her getting her face into the top of the hood and not being able to turn out of it, but I don't think that's a major concern at her age now anyway. Also, the zippers are lined with an anti-snag seam, which is very nice for avoiding those frustrating moments when you zip your bag into the zipper track and spend a lot of frustration working it out, and possibly damaging the bag. This is a nice touch for a very inexpensive bag. So it's a Kelty, 30 degree synthetic down bag with a very nice dual zipper system...so far so good. However I didn't realize it had a lining until it arrived, and that's my big complaint with the bag. I didn't see anything in the description that mentioned this (not on Amazon's site, Kelty does have this info), and the close up pictures of the hood area might reveal it just a bit, but in the Amazon pics it's a solid color so it makes it harder to tell. The actual bag has a printed design inside. My issue is that they lined the bag with polyester and cotton to make the bag soft and cozy for your little one. That's great, but only if you're using this bag for sleeping indoors in make-shift tents for a sleepover, or really dry summer nights. Otherwise, does anyone know what cotton does in wet or humid environments? It soaks up that moisture, and doesn't let it go. That soft warm bag will be a cold, damp bag by the middle of the night. If they had used 100% polyester inside that would have been perfect, but the entire liner underneath the top of the bag is 100% cotton. This is a sleeping bag, made for camping. You wouldn't put a cotton liner inside an adult sleeping bag, so why would you put one in a child's? That's my big gripe with this bag if you truly want to take your little one camping with you. If you are just buying it for those summer camp outs in the backyard, or indoors, then it's a 5 star bag. Otherwise I wish Kelty would remove the cotton and replace it with all polyester. Kelty if you're listening...let's see a 100% poly version of this bag! Thanks :)
