I took a chance in getting these as they are half the price of the different brand that I was going to get. Having used them for a few months now I can say that I am totally satisfied with them and happy to have saved almost $40 by not buying the alternative. I was a little aprehensive about the twist-locks, but they have worked out just great with no problems at all. The marked lengths are nice. The cork grips are warm to the touch and do not get slippery from perspiration. I think they will wear well. Nice gold color, too. The spike tip is working out great now that the weather has turned cold and snowy. It had been a while since I had bought a Kelty product and it's nice to see that they are still the same old great company with excellent products at an honest price.

The Ridgeline 2.0 Trekking Pole Set work good for poles for the Noah's tarps when used as a sleeping tarp. They are easily adjustable for height. Very light weight. I haven't had an opportunity to use them on a hike yet but they will help my worn out knees.

Finally bought a pair of trekking poles since my knees are in bad shape after a 50 miler in Shawnee State Forest. (aka the meat grinder) Hubby also ended up buying a pair as well. We took them down to Red River Gorge for a weeklong hiking trip. Overall they performed quite well. The ease of use gets 5 stars, their "stickiness" on wet, slippery rock and even dry rock for that matter also gets 5+ stars. They seriously saved me a couple of nasty falls because of how well the tip stuck to whatever surface it came into contact with. First day out we lost 2 of the 4 baskets but I think that was because we didn't have them on tight enough. (Once we tightened them down, they were fine) We were able to find one of the baskets on our way back, but still down one basket. As to their durability I give them abot 4 stars. Bent one pole horribly and it is unusable now. Hit it against a rock, and it bent right up. Even tho I have no experience with trekking poles, I think for the price you definately get an overall great pole. Just don't bang them too hard against something and they are fine.

My Leki poles were stolen and I decided to try these Kelty poles since I love the quality of my other Kelty camping gear. I just completed a 6 day hike with them and am extremely happy. The copper color is pretty and makes them easy to locate, they are easy to adjust, durable, and the grips and wrist straps are just perfect for me. One of the other great pluses is that I would have spent $100.00 more to replace the Lekis.

I always said I'd never use hiking poles, but as I'm getting a bit older, I've found they give just the extra stability needed for sure-footedness. I picked up a set of these last summer and have used them several times. They adjust easily, construction seems to be of a high quality, and they do the job! What more can you ask?

I really like 'em. The shafts on these poles are very well fitted and finished, the twist locks hold well and the grips and straps are first rate. Actually the top ends of these poles are superior to many higher-priced offerings from Kelty's competitors. These are very good poles. In fact there is not a better price-value pair of poles in the market today. I know this because I've been using poles for more than a decade; this is not my first rodeo. I know value when I see it. And so I am very pleased to recommend these Kelty poles to you all, no reservation whatsoever. HYOH
