The rain cover is great. It packs down very small and is made of high quality material. As I live in the NW, it is going to be very useful the next time I am hiking and it starts raining which is pretty common. I recommend it for sure.

The pack cover is probably well designed for an internal frame pack.
However, if you are a fan of external frame packs like my old Tioga, this pack cover is the wrong item. It is not designed or shaped to properly fit a large external frame pack.
The attached mesh pouch for storing the cover is a useless frill.
Wish I still had my old Kelty pack cover. Unfortunately, the waterproof coating on my old Kelty brand pack cover finally disintegrated after many years. This product is not a proper substitute. Disappointing.
