Really nice lightweight day pack that also works for ultralight travel. I like the simplicity of the design -- one big pocket, one pocket in front, one on top. It feels good on my back with 20 pounds inside it, and i have used it for day hikes on several occasions. The tuck away hip belt is a nice feature as well. The only thing I would suggest is to add straps on the bottom so you could attach a jacket or maybe a light sleeping bag for a weekend hike. Otherwise, I think it is a really nice pack and a great value.

I was in the market for a new daypack. Mine was dated and lacked hydration compatibility. I was leaning toward the Redstart or Redtail, but I wanted something with a little more substantial hip strap. I was at my local outfitter and noticed this one, and it was on sale:-)... Fit my taste perfectly. Kinda a cross between a panel loader and top loader, and large enough for an overnight (with proper gear selection). Could go on and on about this pack. Love it!!!
