I purchased this bag for the first leg of the AT this spring. It kept me warm and toasty in a blizzard but I nearly gagged from the stench when I opened it every morning. I figured my sweat had seeped in and created a nasty moist environment in the bag. Every morning and every night I would air the bag out in the sun while I set up and broke down camp. Still no improvement. Finally I broke down and got in to town to go to a laundromat. I washed it in a gentle cold cycle with down wash and dried on tumble. Instead of making my bag smell better it made the dryer stink! Gross. So ultimately, great bag for keeping warm if you can handle the stink it holds on to. For background info, I'm a pretty hygienic girl and I don't sweat that much when I sleep. This bag just loves to trap odors and hold on to them.
