Description
Campsite comfort and convenience is the name of the game with the AirPitch™ Mach 4 tent. By replacing traditional poles with our inflatable AirPoles, this out-sized shelter pitches in under a minute with an included high volume, dual-action floor pump. AirPoles are rigid yet flexible and won’t bend or break like traditional poles. An integrated, fully-vented rainfly further simplifies set-up while removable “sleep rooms” add versatility. The Mach 4’s floorless vestibule is ideal for storing gear or just hanging out. When it’s time to go home, just pull the plug and the AirPitch™ takes itself down.

Set this thing up around 11 pm at our campsite. It was rocky and so pre-staking was a bit difficult (my bad on campsite choice)..... BUT once that was accomplished- PRESTO up it went! (pumped for maybe a min max) Great space on the interior, breathed well. So under the circumstances, first time setting it up I am pleased with the concept of the tent. The next day it was warm, light wind...did fine under these conditions.

Used tent in extreme weather conditions for 2 weeks and was pleased with the tent's performance. I especially liked the "garage" feature and the "liveability" of the tent.
Camped on St George Island FL, a barrier island 4 miles off shore, temp range 31 to 70 degrees, wind gusts to 35mph, 6 " rainstorm, 2 tornados and 2 water spouts during the 2 week period.
The front storage (garage) area allows you to keep all gear, including your bike, inside. The salt air is corrosive on the equipment, so the extra protection is great and also very roomy.
The opening between the "garage" and sleeping area is large enough that, when opened, give the tent a large living area. A screened area on the front tent opening would be nice in warm weather.
The frame is very sturdy and retains air pressure. Definitely recommend setting up, at home, before the first time you use it. Also recommend a Kelty foot print which gives the garage area a "floor". A Great Tent.
