The new and improved Acadia 6 is here. The 3-pole design provides more head and shoulder room, and the continuous pole sleeve design is built to make pitching a breeze. Two doors and two vestibules make entry/exit a piece of cake…since we all know what its like having to climb over your fellow companions as they try to catch valuable Z's. Added features include the Stargazing Fly, so you can enjoy those beautifully clear nights to the fullest.

The tent would be perfect otherwise! - the seams are not water tight (every time it rains we have had to do repairs and drying from the inside... ) Also one of the buckles connecting the rainfly to the body was sewn in the wrong direction so we have to twist it (not a big deal but the quality of craftsmanship is slightly below par). Looking now for a seam sealer but not sure which coating our tent has.. (Acadia 6 person tent). Unknown on Aug 8th 2018
We spend 12 straight night in the Canadian Rockies with this tent and found out that this tent is great on the inside. Nice pockets, doesn't leak with strong storm, can stand up in it and feels like you a lot of space with the huge doors. On the outside the vestibules are way to small. The star gazing roll up is a joke because it flaps in the wind and needs to be stacked down after using again. Only one side of the tent has a middle flap to stack it out in the center to prevent it from leaks. The pole that goes over the top for the star gazing feature rubs on the other nylon mess for the cross poles and creates small holes. The metal circle feature to hole the poles in place popped out after only 2 night. All together.... Happy with the inside and not the outside. Unknown on Jul 11th 2018
We love our Acadia. It’s great for Florida heat with the cross breeze potential of the fly design. Plenty of headroom and space for gear. Vestibules are awesome and multifunctional. Unfortunately our fly pole broke when trying to stretch the fly enough to seat it in the pockets during set up. The added rigidity of the hybrid fly pole is nice once assembled, however the tolerances appear to be slightly off to cause the pole to have to be flexed enough to cause it to break when trying to fit it into the pockets on the fly. Would be nice if they offered a replacement pole, but I can repair it with a small section of pipe until I can find a suitable replacement. Still, it’s disappointing to have a failure on the second time it was used. Alyson on Apr 14th 2018
I would like to give this a high review, the tent has a lot of features that I liked. Unfortunately, we used our tent for a four day trip to Death Valley and during some high wind conditions, one of the metal ferrules connecting two segments of the tent pole snapped, and the tent collapsed on its side. My kids and I were outside at midnight trying to pull down the tent and get our belongings out. We ended up sleeping in the truck. The campgrounds we were staying in had numerous other campers in various tents by other manufacturers, but ours was the only one that collapsed.
The ferrule that broke was located about two segments up on the wind side of the tent, and I suspect was subject to high moment loads during wind gusts. The poles themselves are a high strength fiberglass material and showed no signs of breaking, but the thin metal ferrule snapped along its entire length. The height and width of the tent (while one of its better features) contribute to its wind susceptibility as they increase the area for wind loading when the wind is blowing broadside to the tent, as it was in our case. I had some other quality concerns, the floor is very thin, but the tent pole breaking in wind was the thing that drove this review. We are currently negotiating the tent's return with Amazon. This is my second Kelty tent and we have already used it three times this summer. Like my other Kelty, the set up and take down gets faster with every use. On one of our trips it poured rain all night long and the Acadia did it's job well, keeping us warm and dry! The only negative I have to say about the Acadia tent has to do with the poles. As they are not smooth (have an metal connector piece) from time to time the poles can get caught up in the tent sleeves (bunching). Overall, the Acadia is a GREAT tent which I would highly recommend to any of my friends or family.

Now I'm the envy of the camp ground with this top of the line tent. No more water no more worries. stan on Nov 1st 2015
I like almost everything about this tent. This is my 3rd Kelty, bigger family, tents got bigger too. I also have the 10 day pack from when I used to hike and camp with my friends. Easy set up, Good material, performed will in a couple of storms. 1 Thing that is wrong Made In China.... All my other Kelty equipment is Made In the United States. What happen here? Good tent. Set up was easy with minimal assistance. Roomy-placed two large cots inside against the exterior walls. Havent experienced a rain but would recommend the tent. KYLE on Aug 19th 2014
Allow me to gush a bit about the Acadia 6 tent. I just returned from a week long camp(cut short by two days due to the government shutdown)and the tent performed flawlessly! The first to nights were plagued by HEAVY rains. The second more than the first and boy it was torrential 1-3" overnight. There were three other tents in our party, two owned by me, all were Ozark Trail tents from Wal Mart. They all received substantial amounts of water, but the Acadia 6 had NOT ONE DROP on the inside. I was amazed! The zippers never gave a minutes trouble. The two door design was very handy also. What I liked most was the vestibule that I could stand up in and be out of the rain when entering the tent. The weather was cool but there was a noticeable difference in the tent. It was always comfortable. During the day we could tie back the entryways and get a nice breeze through the tent.It was a breeze to set up and it WILL fold up and FIT into the supplied bag when finished tearing down. This is a great tent. I expect to get many years service from it. Thanks Kelty! Ben on Oct 10th 2013
Just returned home from 2 weeks camping in my new Acadia 6 tent. I believe its the best tent I've ever owned. We had rain and high winds a few days on the trip and were kept nice and dry thanks to the amazing rain fly and sturdy construction. 6 of the 9 tents camping with us were Kelty. Thank you for a great product. Jonathan on Jul 30th 2012
