  1. Epic Tent!

This is really a great tent for us taller travelers/campers, I was able to comfortably stand in the tent, it is highly spacious, easy to set up, and is really durable. on Jul 24th 2018

  2. Excellent space.

Needed a new tent for a weeklong bout in the wilderness. Saw the camp cabin and was attracted to the headroom. It's a little tricky to set up the first time but I did it before camp and was set to go when we got there. The color coding helped alot. We had rain 3 of the 7 days and 2 of those were substantial storms. The camp cabin held up great. A window on each side with a total of 4 leaves lots of options for ventilation and privacy. Zippers are smooth and tent has a solid feel. Love it. on Jun 25th 2018

  3. Perfect tent for my motorcycle camping! After first campout.

From earlier post. Tent work great even survived first campout and major rain storm. When I got home I went to set it up to dry out and the elastic on one of the main poles just snapped. I'll figure something out. I'm sure Kelty will make it right. Only 3 stars because of broken pole elastic. on Jun 9th 2018

  4. Perfect tent for my motorcycle camping!

For years have camped with a Kelty Silada 4 tent. A great tent but for an older camper I just got tired of crawling in and out of the tent. It was also hard to get dressed on the floor. The cabin is perfect for me. It does weigh more but still packs just fine in my Army duffel bag. I will be attending 4 or 5 BMW motorcycle rallies this summer! on Mar 29th 2018

  5. Price for performance, the Camp Cabin is hard to beat!

Most of my gear I've had for the last 10 years has all been ultra-light, one-person backpacking stuff - so now that I am married and we just had a child, I realized that if I want to get my family into camping, it's time to get some new gear. Also, having adopted a more sedentary lifestyle (sadly), I needed to find a tent where I could actually stand up to put pants on.

Having said that, this tent is perfect for our needs! It's not super heavy, and yet is spacious and durable. I was worried about it not having a full-coverage fly, but figured the fam probably wouldn't be out camping in too many inclement conditions. Little did I realize that the week we spent in Great Basin NP, it was going to rain for an hour or two at least once or twice a day, EVERY day. The tent withstood all the rain and muddy conditions from where we had it, and kept mommy and baby dry and protected (even after a small creek formed and swept under the footprint!) the whole week.

We've used it several other times since then, and it's easy to put up, easy to take down, and fits a queen-size airbed with plenty of space for gear and Miss Baby's camping equipment as well.

The ONLY reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5 is because the pitching design takes a little getting used to, and the "rain fly" is really more of a "rain hat" that covers the mesh part of the tent. I wouldn't recommend it for trying to backpack at all, but for the small-to-medium-sized family that wants a quality car-camping tent that won't break the bank? You can't get any better than the Kelty Camp Cabin!
