For the cost, it's hard to beat. Roomy and if the rating is accurate, warm for its weight. Water repellant down at this price?! Pretty great. It is somewhat bulky and the stuff sack makes it nearly as small as possible. Not quite as light as my 800 fill bag and a bit bulkier, but at $200 cheaper, not unexpected. Unknown on Jun 15th 2016
I recently bought this bag and used it every night for 5 weeks ranging from slightly below freezing to warm/cool temps. The nights it was freezing, I had a light base layer on and was really warm. The warmer nights, I just unzipped it and used it as a blanket. After using it for 5 weeks straight, I was expecting some wear and tear, but it held up perfectly: no tears, loose threading, zipper malfunctions, loose down, nothing at all. Also, somehow there is no smell: I went into this bag stinky and smoky and it did not keep my stench (I think I took 5 showers the whole trip). Lastly, To save on space I opted for the Ketly compression sack. The medium size works well and doesn't feel like it will damage the the loft when compressed. The bag fits into the small compression sack, but it was a little too compressed for my personal comfort with a down product.
I am a 5'10 dude and the regular size was perfect. Aaron on Jun 12th 2016
I bought two of these Cosmic 20 bags (2015 model) for my son and I. We used them on the rim of the Grand Canyon at 20 deg F the first night with a self inflating mattress and a microfiber liner and we both slept comfortably. They stuff down reasonably small and the materials are good while the weight is not bad. I couldn't find anything at the price to compete with the Cosmic 20.
And for 2016 it looks like Kelty has moved to ripstop nylon and 600 fill down to save a few ounces making a good bag better. My 2015 bags are dark blue taffeta (non ripstop) and 550 fill down.
From my research, you'd have to spend 2 - 3 times the price to get a significantly lighter bag with the same rating. Nah, I went for the value this bag represents. Russ on Apr 11th 2016
I've never slept in a Kelty sleeping bag until now. Packs small, keeps you warm from head to toe, perfect price, and kept me dry. I'm on the Kelty train... Unknown on Mar 24th 2016
Both the Men's and Women's version of this zip up on the right. So you cannot zip them together. The only reason I bought them together was so that we could share body heat in colder than expected situations. Glen on Mar 12th 2016
