After doing the research and knowing that I have a great deal of lost cartilage in my knees, I took a chance purchasing these poles for snowshoe walking and it paid off! These poles are excellent. Being able to have the proper spring and to adjust them for my height made the difference. The price was very much worth it as well! Unknown on Jan 17th 2018
This is my first set of trekking poles, and they're awesome! Super light and easy to adjust. I used to worry about the vibrations in my wrist, but the anti shock springs work well! I'd highly recommend. Cheyanne on Dec 13th 2017
Used them on a trophy elk hunt. Perfect for the steep up/down trails. Used them in the snow. Helped keep me on my feet. Reduced leg fatigue. Buy them! Westport on Oct 18th 2017
I really like these poles. Light, sturdy and easy to use. I love the Anti-Shock Springs. Before using the trekking poles, I would always have achy ankles and/or knees the next day... no longer an issue! My only wish is that the tips were replaceable.
Thanks Kelty! Kristi on Aug 25th 2017
Used these poles a couple times now, in very varied terrain that included everything from wetlands to bare rock. I have used them so far only with the carbide tips exposed. They grip well on all surfaces, even rock, where have yet to have them slip. Handles are comfortable and even after 4-5 hour trek with sweaty hands, no blistering. Wrist straps are comfortable as well, and adjust easily. Poles extend easily and lock solidly; the locks have not slipped at all, despite putting extreme pressure on then at time. The shock absorbing system is a nice add on, and the length measures allow for rapid set up to the length desired. The extended handles are helpful when scrambling up rock, allowing you to shorten the length by grabbing below the cork handle, without actually unlocking and shortening the poles.
Overall, I give these poles a 5 out of 5 rating. In other words, Excellent. I do not hesitate to recommend them. AlanD on Aug 25th 2017
Great poles and works perfect for all the terrain we hiked through. Easy adjusting lengths made them even more desirable when we needed to hike up or down hill. Very strong and light weight. I would highly recommend these trekking poles to anyone on the market. chris w grudzinski on Jul 24th 2017
These poles work great. I've used them on about 10 hikes. They're lightweight, easily packable, sturdy, and comfortable. They're ALMOST perfect. Unfortunately, the carbide tips do not last forever, and replacements are not available. Many other companies offer poles with removable, replaceable tips. I'm a huge Kelty fan, unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere for another set of trekking poles. I guess I'll keep the rubber tips on these and use them as a back-up pair. Johnny on Mar 23rd 2017
I have used these for a few hikes I've taken over the past month in Missouri and at Yosemite National Park. These are very lightweight, transported well in my large checked luggage bag. The cork grips are very comfortable in-hand and don't rub blisters. They really helped with impact reduction on my extremely downhill trek out in California. I've used on dirt/gravel, rock, and asphalt surfaces with rubber and alternative tips and they have worked great. Tonya on Jul 5th 2015
These poles were lighter then my other ones and very comfortable. Plenty of positions to rotate from and prevent blisters. They did not seem to withstand much in terms of the foam padding, when dropped. They slipped and fell a few times while leaning against a tree and by then end of three days, several cuts and scrapes were noticeable in the foam/cork. Other poles seem more rugged, but overall I was very happy with these. Daniel on Jun 22nd 2015
Picked these up to try while backpacking last weekend. Was very happy with their performance and durability. My only caution is to make sure the baskets are on tight so you do not to lose one. Carl on Jan 19th 2015
