We love our Kelty TruComfort Doublewide!!
The simplicity is what sold us. No more lugging around our sheets and bedding, with our Kelty it's all in the bag! Just unroll and cuddle up.
Perfect for couples, its cozy warm and comfortable. There's also plenty of room for two large adults without being restrictive or constraining.
Thank you Kelty, we can't wait to embark on new adventures... Katherine on Jun 26th 2018
This is a nice sleeping bag for couples, with lots of options for not getting too hot. My SO and I used it last weekend on a camping trip with family. It did not get cold (in fact it was fairly warm) so it was nice to have the multiple layers for the covers. It's very roomy and we slept comfortably. It also looks great.
The one complaint I have is how large it is when in it's stuff sack. It takes up a significant amount of space for a sleeping bag (a lot of space even for two!). I was planning to use this on a multi-day river trip (which is kind of like car camping) with my SO, but I may have to buy a bigger dry bag to store it in as it's so bulky. Also, it's Definitely not for backpacking! Zac on Jun 22nd 2018
We cuddle often, except when we are nuzzling. We also snuggle unapologetically but when we camped we couldn't cuddle, nuzzle or snuggle, that is until we found the Kelty Tru.Comfort Doublewide 20! Now not a night goes by in or outdoors that we don't find ourselves wrapped lovingly in each other's arms.
This is a quality bag with several great features and one ok feature. The zippers are smooth and having them on each side makes entering and exiting a snap. The hood also helps when the night gets cold.
The built in blanket is a good idea but doesn't execute very well. We found it sliding off whenever we moved and it felt like it needed readjusting often during the night.
We tried this nestler's dream out for two nights in the Adirondacks and we stayed quite comfortable when the temps dropped to the lower 30's.
It's bulky (because umm it's a double sleeping bag) but it packed easily wasn't a burden to lug around, unlike my lovable but burdensome to lug around dog.
If you are asking me if I would recommend this bag the answer is yes if you are asking me for $179.95 to buy you one then the answer is no. DandA on May 7th 2018
We love this bag! It fits us both with plenty of room to move around and get cozy. I love having the hood for keeping my head warm and my pillow in place. The built in blankets are a great feature! Sometimes I zip off the top cover in the morning and use it as a blanket while having coffee outside. Exceptional quality and amazing value! Love Love Love!
I can't wait for the doublewide camp pad to come in stock since it looks like it fits this sleeping bag perfectly.
Kelty your product videos are the best and really help me understand more about the products I'm looking at! Karyn on Nov 23rd 2017
I've been looking for a double sleeping bag for over a year but they were all heavy , bulky, and not very versatile. Kelty must have read my mind when designing this bag. This doublewide allowed me to finally do away the extra blankets, down comforter, sheets, and sleeping bags that took up half the truck bed every time we go camping. My wife gets cold easily and this bag is the ultimate solution to a pile of blankets suffocating us throughout the night. My favorite part is I am able to keep cool by unzipping my side only without disturbing her. The pillow holder is the cherry on top of this setup. I am excited to put this bag to a bigger test come fall when temperature drops and weather gets gray. Dan S. on May 22nd 2017
The Tru.Comfort Doublewide 20 has features that my wife and I have been longing for in a double sleeping bag for the past 10 years. 1) The top edge zipper access makes it much easier to enter/exit. It also allows an unzipped top layer to lie flat and not easily flop back over when you want to a reduce the warmth. 2) The hood helps keep our pillows right where they belong. In all of my years of camping, my pillow always seems to eventually slide away during the night; up against a damp tent wall or on the floor to the right or to the left. Now it stays locked in. 3) The best part...it is very, very roomy. I have a bad back and whenever I'm confined to sleeping in an area as wide as a fence rail, I wake up with a sore back. This bag gives us the option to stretch out without jamming each other with knees and elbows. We placed this bag on two Thermarest MondoKing 3D XXL pads and it covered a good portion of the area (60"w x 80"l) so that should give you an idea of the size. We haven't used it in temperatures below 45 but I found that I was too warm at times while wearing a t-shirt and lightweight short pants.
Thank you Kelty for producing this innovative double wide sleeping bag...It's perfect! Motown Marc on Apr 22nd 2017
Bought a new roof top tent and figured it was time to buy a big double bag. Since I've finally sold out as a real backpacking camper, I decided that truck camping was going to be as comfortable as possible. I stopped by a local outdoor store and they only had this bag in green as far as doubles. I was a little weary of the 20 degree rating since we all know that can really screw you over, but I figured for the price it was worth a try.
Woke up this morning to a snow covered tent at over 8,000 feet altitude and an outside temperature of 28 degrees. In a t shirt, boxer briefs, and a thin pair of socks. My better half was dressed just fairly better. Absolutely comfortable inside this bag and perfectly warm even getting towards the bottom of the rating.
