I took this out for a couple of nights of car camping last weekend. On the plus side, it is a very comfortable pad, even on rocky ground. The big negative I have, is that the pad takes a lot of pumping to completely inflate. I found that the easiest way to re-roll the pad was to roll it up once, pressing out most of the air, then close the valve, refold and re-roll. Open the valve, when you have the pad rolled to the point where you reach the trapped air. I had it rolled up and in the storage bag in a couple of minutes max. Overall, this is a solid camping pad!

Bought this specifically for car camping. Positives: very large and comfortable. Negatives: not crazy about the pump. Even though it's relatively helpful, it adds way too much bulk when rolling it back up. My biggest pet peeve is that it only has one air valve. This mat is way too big to only have one center valve. It really should have one on either side. It takes me close to 20 minutes to squeeze the remainder of the air out after letting it sit open for a while. My synmat takes less than 3 minutes from opening the valves to have it completely rolled and in its bag. The aggravation is not worth it's comfort.

I got this pad in May 2013, and now have used it on 4 trips. Positive: The BEST sleep I have ever had..all 4 trips I had to camp rocks, tree roots, and uneven ground. Not once did I feel a lump or anything poking in my back. Negative: little heavy but I have to say getting a great night sleep was worth the weight for me (that is up to you and how you sleep) - Pack size is not as small as I would like but with the size of the pad nothing to bad. - Other. Insulation - I slept one night at timberline - temp got down to 28 deg. no coldness from the ground. Found if you mix pumping and blowing it is much easier than just doing one or the other (faster too) - Would I recommend it... Yes, Esp. if you need a good rest and rocks and the ground bother you. (obviously not for ultralight weight backpackers) This is a very Large Pad so it will work for larger people - but it fills the floor of a one man tent. OVER ALL Great PAD -
