Finally, a solution for a portable 'cabin in the woods': the Camp Cabin 6. You’ll be the envy of your campground with the unique cabin-like design and roomy inner space. Unzip the windows on all four sides for prime-time visibility and air flow, and shed any weather you may encounter with the angled roof. Part of the Built to Wander collection, the Camp Cabin blends fun, function, and grab-and-go spontaneity for truly kickass gear. Music festivals, days at the park, nights under the stars…where will you wander?
Put the new tent up within minutes but was worried about the fiberglass poles breaking. As another review mentioned they do seem like they are under stress. A few things to note... the tent DOES come with Guy lines, when ordering this tent I could not find this information on Kelty's website. Also, Kelty notes this tent as 81 inches tall but I noticed that is only at the front door. I am 6'2/ 74in and the tent starts to touch my head halfway into the tent. I have not used the tent on a camping trip yet but will update the review after a few uses. Overall, the tent seems to be of great quality, fairly easy to set up, and the zip up windows are a huge plus for ventilation. Above all its a "Kelty" and customer service is excellent, I would recommend this tent to others. Karson on Aug 18th 2018
Wanted to love the Camp Cabin... With 3 small children it was a perfect fit - Nice, airy, lots of headroom, plenty of room for gear. With adults, it would definitely be closer to 3-4 adults max.. The Angled shape (tapered towards rear) doesn't allow for the most flexible arrangement of people. All that aside, the tent is nice with lots of headroom and doesn't feel stuffy. The major problem appears to be the thick but fragile poles that are made out of a fiberglass material. We've broken them twice, and shipping wasn't cheap to send it for repair. Both times it broke, it wasn't windy, & the kids weren't playing in it. The stress just seems too much for the poles. Maybe a different material would be better. Joe on Aug 8th 2018
