The shoulder straps and hip belt brought new life to my old pack. Looks great fits great. Thanks. Unknown on Jul 3rd 2018
I recently bought a used Kelty Yukon that had an old-style hipbelt that I was just not able to get as snug as I like. This new hipbelt has all the same attachments so it was a breeze to replace the old one. The pull-to-center tightening system is perfect and now the pack rides comfortably on my hips! It is a perfect match and easy to instal. Unknown on Mar 27th 2018
I have a vintage (circa 70s) REI external frame pack and my treasured possession--a vintage Alpenlite external frame (also circa 70s). The latter has the patented stand up design that Alpenlite perfected. The REI pack belt finally gave out on the Lost Coast. The Alpenlite was just getting stiff and brittle.
I purchased the Trekker 65 replacement Shoulder Straps and Hip Belt for both packs. I purchased the Mesh Back for the REI pack. The components fit the REI pack like they were made for it. It is now better than ever. I had to angle the mounting portion of the Hip Belt on the Alpenlite as the frame design is different, but I was easily able to make it work. I was even able to add stub straps to the top frame of both and connect the load leveling straps from the Trekker 65 harness. This is a feature I never had on these packs and a great improvement.
The price, functionality and quality of these Kelty straps absolutely saved two of my favorite all packs. They will outlive me now.
On both orders, I did not immediately receive the clevis pins and rings. However, I called in to Kelty both times and they immediately sent them to me--no questions asked.
Kelty is a great company and I am so glad they continue to put out external frames and the components for them. RickB on Feb 21st 2018
I have a mid 70"s Kelty Tioga external frame pack. The foam in the straps and belt had hardened and become uncomfortable with heavy loads. I ordered the Trecker 65 shoulder straps and belt. It took a few minutes to figure out how to install the new belt and straps, but they went they went right on. They are comfortable with any load. That old Tioga will now will now probably out last me. Great replacements! Unknown on Nov 16th 2017
Have an old Camp Trails brand frame pack from the early 1970's. The foam in the straps had turned to dust, the buckles were rusty, so I took a chance on fitting the Kelty belt and straps.
Took me about 15 minutes to fit the new Kelty hip belt and shoulder straps. They're a perfect fit, and super comfortable. Unknown on Oct 24th 2017
I bought my old Kelty backpack in 1977, my second one (I'd lost track of the first, bought when I was a Scout). It's a Sonoran bag on a Massif frame, size XL. For the next 25 years the rig was heavily used as my sons and I packed all over the mountains of Idaho. Both the bag and the frame were modified a lot over those years, I couldn't help fiddling with it to "make it my own". Somewhere the job crept up and took over my time, so the fun part of life took a backseat. But now I've taken my old rig down out of the garage and decided to get it serviceable again. When I found Kelty still sold suitable shoulder straps and this hip belt I was delighted. I've received them, put them on my old frame and I'm happy as a clam. I can't wait until next summer rolls around so I can hit the trails again. I might take a grandkids or two with me. I'd have given the stuff a full five stars but, like others have already reported, you advertised two clevis pins but didn't include them. That's okay, but just don't keep saying one thing and then doing (or not doing) something different. Thanks.

Was hoping to repair my old 70's external frame pack; the site said it might take some creativity. But no problem! Now I have a supple and useful hip belt. It works great. Thanks Kelty! Unknown on Aug 4th 2017
Haven't had a chance to use on an extended trip but it has preformed well on short trips. It is well made and should last for years. The only complaint is I didn't receive the 2 clevis pins that are supposed to come with it. Michael Waddell on Jun 5th 2017
Had to rig it in to the pack but my pack is a vintage model. The only problem i have is the belt came with two female ends. You know you need both, right? jeff on Oct 14th 2016
