  1. Awesome Daypack

I love, love this pack. It is easy to load up with gear and food. But it is definitely designed for day use and not much more. As seen in other reviews, the waist straps are super thin and start to irritate if you carry the pack for more than a couple of hours. I am also on the 'thicker side' of the spectrum when it comes to body sizes so the straps barely fit me. I am going to use this as my travel pack. I am super excited that I have managed to fit everything I need for a week-long trip abroad. Awesome pack. Can't stress that enough. on Aug 15th 2017

  2. Great pack! Minor setback

Bought this pack recently for a 3 day hike. I was able to easily load ~30lbs worth of gear/food for the trip and had a compressed sleeping bag tied underneath. Overall, I had an easy time using this backpack and can only suggest one thing. For a short hike I would assume this pack would be perfect, however after about 20 miles I realized the waist straps were slowing me down. My pack is supported mainly by my waist, but these hip straps are so thin that the load is focused and can become very uncomfortable. I had to re-adjust my straps throughout the hike to prevent serious pain. If you want to do a significant amount of miles, I would suggest buying an additional hip belt and/or sleeve to help support your pack and distribute the load across your waist. on Aug 7th 2017

  3. Redwing 32 Nice day backpack

Great small day backpack. Lots of room to adjust equipment in and around the bag. Going on a hike for the day or even a small day/night trip max 1-3 days if you pack pack it at a minimalistic way, but ideal for the day hike. Also it can be a great bug out bag too on Jul 18th 2017

  4. Just what you would expect

The Redwing has been a staple style in the Kelty lineup for as long as I can remember. This version doesn't disappoint. I have 2 of the 50's and this is my first 32. This size is perfect for day hiking with the fam when Dad needs to carry a few extra layers and such for the littles. Great organization and storage as per all Redwings. Love it. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that I found myself fighting a bit with the location of the compression straps and trying to unzip the main compartment. Additionally, although it fit me great, the waist belt is on the small side and if your waist is larger than a legit 36in it may not fit you. I also would have liked to have a small pocket on the waist belt for snacks. All in all it's exactly what we have all come to love and know Kelty for. on Jun 24th 2017

  5. Redwing 32

Great little day pack but the waist belt is a total miss. It is thinner than my belt, and barely fits around my 35" waist. Does not help carry any load. on May 15th 2017

  6. Great pack! Exactly what I needed.

When I work as a volunteer with trail crews on the Appalachian Trail I need both a backpack and a day pack. The backpack (Kelty Redwing 50) carries all of the gear I will need for camping and the Kelty Redwing 32 is perfect for carrying the items I will need for the trail work. I haul not only my food for the day, first aid items, and plenty of water, I use it to pack in and out small tools e.g. hammers, small saws, etc., that will be needed during the day. This pack takes a beating but holds up well. I don't give 5 stars because nothing is perfect, but this is about as solid a 4 star rating as I can give. I am sure this pack will provide all that you need and then some. on Feb 5th 2017

  7. Useful and Pratical

Slick and functional design. Plenty of compartments for my day-to-day stuff. Plenty of room for my laptop and other work items. Great product! on Dec 13th 2016

  8. Haven't given to my wife yet.

But it looks great and I'm sure she'll love it. on Aug 31st 2016

  9. Excellent Backpack

I love this pack. I primarily use it as a day pack. I have three young kids that I hike with and always bring some camera gear (usually one camera body and two lenses). Between the camera gear, water, snacks, some diapers, etc, this pack carries it all with no problem. I love that it is constructed of really light, but durable material. on Jun 12th 2016

  10. Great quality and design and comfort.

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the separate compartment that covers and can be pull back from the main compartment but after getting used to it I think it's a great design. It allows access from the top and if you lay it down and pull the separate compartment back, access like a panel loader.

    -seems durable and high quality
    -comfortable and ventilated
    -hideaway waist straps
    -great pocket and organizing options
    -laptop compartment
-I guess just read the feature list, it's right on

    -nothing comes to mind
